Career transitions are an opportunity for personal growth and development as a professional. Sometimes they are self-initiated, like seeking a new role or a new position. More often though, career transitions for employees are unexpected, initiated by the organization, e.g. a position is eliminated, a layoff, an organization is sold or merged, a department is realigned and now reports to a different leader, etc. As HR professionals we have a responsibility to help our organization and the employees navigate those unexpected changes, but those changes can also impact us. How prepared are you to help those where you serve? How prepared are you to help yourself if the unexpected happens to you? How will you assess when it’s time for you to initiate a career transition? Speaker: Dale Kreienkamp
Dale Kreienkamp is a Human Resources professional of 40 years who has served as an executive in the health care industry and led a successful consulting practice. Dale has also served as a volunteer leader on numerous boards of directors, as well as in his home church.
Dale has experienced a personal journey of unemployment twice when, each time, his positions were eliminated in organizational restructuring. These personal experiences created a desire within him to help others.
