Organizational change can be physically and emotionally exhausting for employees. Unmanaged change can cause employee anxiety and work stagnation, and worse yet intentional sabotage and other destructive behaviors. This seminar uses research from human development theory, the psychology of personality and communication theory to provide employees practical tools to survive during times of organizational change. Drawing on organizational and change management researchers such as Kezar, Stapley, Argyris, and Stacey, participants will learn how to recognize signs that they are moving into the unstable zone, leverage creative destruction, and design a good-enough holding environment within their workplace. Participants will have an opportunity to role play during the session to practice these skills.
