The Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCADSV) has 40 years of experience uniting Missourians with the shared value of ending rape and abuse. Evidence supports that organizational culture is critical to a harassment-free workplace that supports a healthy and productive workforce. Join MCADSV’s Legal Resources Specialist, Samantha Ghormley Hill J.D., for an introductory webinar on an innovative approach to preventing harassment in the workplace. This model focuses on the dynamics of power and control, organizational culture, and the role of adaptive leadership in cultivating an environment that reflects your company’s values and supports the wellbeing of employees. Ending harassment in the workplace is an achievable goal, not just an exercise in risk reduction as required by legal counsel or insurance companies. MCADSV invites you to join them in the work of creating healthy and productive workplaces for all Missourians.

Speaker: Samantha Ghormley, J.D.

Samantha Ghormley, J.D., is the Legal Resources Specialist at MCADSV. Prior to her current position, which she has held since 2016, Samantha interned for MCADSV in 2012 and 2014. She is a 2013 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia law school, from which she received her J.D. and a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She previously spent several years employed by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Legal Services, where she served as a hearing officer in the administrative hearings unit. As the Legal Resources Specialist, she trains statewide, answers technical assistance questions, creates publications and researches emerging legal issues on domestic and sexual violence. Samantha’s primary areas of emphasis are sexual harassment prevention, Missouri’s benefits programs, and how to navigate the many systems available to survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
