Description:

Join us as Dustin Bly, CEO of Legacy Advisors, leads us in a conversation about the importance of HR professionals understanding how health insurance brokers earn compensation through business dealings with the companies they serve. Dustin will walk us through broker commission structures, new sale bonuses, carrier overrides, Rx rebates and per script kickbacks. From this session, HR professionals will walk away with a better understanding of how their brokers earn compensation and a new awareness of opportunities to save money through bundling and other cost containment strategies.

Speaker Bio:

Dustin is a Missouri native who grew up in the Lake Ozark area before relocating to Columbia over 20 years ago. When he’s not in the office, Dustin enjoys golfing (when permitted), Real Estate (loves designing and building things), and spending time with his family including but not limited to his one-year-old baby girl, Charlston “Charli” Marie (who totally has dad wrapped around her finger – but don’t tell her that!).

Health Benefits have been Dustin’s passion for nearly 15 years with inner carrier experience, large brokerage experience and independent experience. Dustin learned when starting Legacy Advisors that he didn’t need a large brokerage shop to provide the services adequately to support his current and prospective clients. Since starting Legacy Advisors in August of 2020 with his partner, Aaron Everly, they have been named the fastest growing independent agency in Missouri, currently serving over 10,000 subscribers with groups ranging from 2 employees to 1,000+ employer groups through fully insured, self-funded, and level funded chassis.

Legacy Advisors continue to grow with the ever-changing Employee Benefits landscape through education, compliance, transparency, comprehensive consulting strategies, streamlined benefit integration through open enrollment technology, and AI Risk Assessment. These tools and services along with Legacy’s independence and local presence set them apart from their counterparts.
